The Sebright is a true bantam breed developed by Sir John Sebright in England during the 1800s. Sir John Sebright hoped to create a very small bantam with plumage similar to that of a laced Polish. After twenty years of breeding, the final result was the Sebright chicken. There are two color varieties of Sebright: the Golden and the Silver. Both colors possess a laced pattern.
