The Wyandotte is an extremely cold-hardy dual-purpose chicken from the United States. This breed was named for the Wendat Native American tribe, whose name was corrupted to Wyandotte. Wyandottes have loose, fluffy feathers.

The most popular breed of Wyandotte is the Blue Laced, as it is very photogenic. Breeders are still coming up with new varieties, as the Wyandotte is a popular show bird.
